How Fortnite Seasons Work

Fortnite seasons are time-limited content updates that rotate the Battle Pass, introduce new POIs, weapons, and storylines. Since Chapter 4, Epic has added mini seasons — shorter bursts of 28–37 days built around a single major collaboration (Star Wars, The Simpsons). These sit alongside regular seasons and are not full chapter resets.

Chapters are bigger resets: new maps, new mechanics, new narrative arcs. We’ve had 7 chapters so far. Each chapter contains 4–8 seasons, plus occasional mini seasons.
