The Apex Legends Season 29 Launch patch notes open Season 29: Overclocked — a faster, more aggressive direction headlined by new Skirmisher Axle, two new respawn-friendly mechanics (Deathbox Respawns, Chained Healing), the Twin Razors universal melee mythic, and a light-ammo squeeze. Track the live Apex Legends season countdown to the end of Overclocked.

TL;DR — Content-heavy launch: 1 new Legend (Axle), 1 new mythic (Twin Razors), buffs to Vantage, Conduit and Ash, and a light-ammo squeeze. Biggest buff: Vantage Sniper's Mark — more responsive, more zoom options, tracking now generates ult charge. Biggest nerf: light ammo stack size 72 → 60. Meta impact: the Overclocked direction rewards speed and respawn loops, while Tridents leave two maps and Broken Moon loses most rotational Ziprails.

Weapons

  • Twin Razors — new universal melee mythic with rotating laser blades, available in seasonal packs active
  • Light ammo — stack size reduced 72 → 60 to tighten loadout pressure nerf
  • Axle — new Skirmisher Legend with Drift (accelerated slide speed and lateral control), Nitro Gate (deployable speed gate that boosts allies into a 5-second high-velocity slide) active
  • Vantage — Sniper's Mark ultimate gains responsiveness, zoom options and tracking-based ult charge; tactical now prevents hard-landing penalties buff
  • Conduit — two base charges of Radiant Transfer; increased mobility when moving toward Skirmishers buff
  • Ash — passive buffs to keep up with the season's faster pace buff

Map

  • Tridents removed from two maps as part of the Overclocked rotation overhaul vaulted
  • Broken Moon — most rotational Ziprails removed to favour ground engagements nerf

Mechanics

  • Deathbox Respawns — teammates can be brought back into the fight directly from their deathbox under specific conditions active
  • Chained Healing — healing effects now chain to nearby allies, rewarding tight team play active
